| The legacy continues....
Many years ago, mabye 10 or 12, I had a little blue parakeet (or budgie if you want to call it) we lovingly called pretty Boy. He was your average flighty parakeet with a couple of cute quirks. He would love to eat dinner with us and would always pick up food from our plates. Instead of keeping the food for himself, he would take it over to the edge of the table and drop it so the dogs could have some. His other cute and I would say bizzare habit is that he -loved- pop (aka soda). He once fell headfirst into a glass that was partially filled in order to obtain some.
Well years later, Pretty Boy has been gone for a while, and I have finially invested in another parakeet, Isabellia. She's a Bourke parakeet, but that's close enough I guess. Like most things, Izzy is scared of pop. So I figured that love for this carbonated goodness is not a parakeet trait.
Low and behold that Midori came into the picture. She was a wild child that grew up to be very friendly and quite a clown. Always flew away from my glasses of pop. Wouldn't even come near my glasses of water (which Izzy loves). But for some reason, she decided to try a sip today. Now she is addicted. I have to hide the stuff from her. How can it be that one sip of the stuff and it's Pretty Boy all over?
Ahhh, the wonders of pop....

| Liz is the ultimate procrastinator. I always thought I was, but she has me beaten hands down. I knew this was going to be the year of Lazy L's, but I didn't know we were going to be that lazy.
So the situation is this: Liz needed to get her boring chem homework done, and I needed to figure out a basic chem equation that I had forgotten many years ago (I need chemistry in my senior year!?! I thought I'd never have to see that subject again!)
Well, we decided to go to the chem help room so we could suffer less. We met up in our usual spot after class round 10 am. But we were tired and hungry. The solution? Starbuck's white mocha coffee and a scone for breakfast. Now we are awake and content, but on the opposite side of campus from the help room. So I decide to check out class rings now because we were sooooo close to the display. We finish that round 11am. Not bad so far, right? Most of the procrastination was my usual stuff, Liz needen't be involved. BUT my story gets better.
We were walking in the general direction of the chem room. "Oh look, the blood mobile!" That was Liz's exclimation. Yes, somehow Liz convinced me to donate blood instead of studying.
Does the girl know no bounds? How can you beat the blood mobile?? Ahh, and this is one of many Liz realted stories since the year began. I should make the Liz-Lindsay Adventures at UB Chronicles. If we keep going at this rate, my last year will definately be the most interesting!
That Liz.....

!). Classes start...the begenning of the end of my undergrad years!! (hopefully)
2). Pikmin 2 comes out!!
So now I have to divide my time between studies and video games. Ahh, life is looking up
| Wow, it's been a while! Well, life is going okay I guess. After what I would consider the worst summer ever, things are finially looking up. Not that the summer was horrible, it's just that summer school made it non-existent and unfullfilling. Aside from that, I would have said the summer wasn't too bad if it weren't for the fact that Dom died. That funeral was one the hardest things I have ever done. The absolute sorrow and despair from so many people I loved and cared about was very tough. I have been to many funerals before, but never such a young person and never totally unexpected like that.
But, life goes on for those of us still here and it is good to see that there still is happiness for my friends. Dom was a good friend, and best friends with some of those closest to me, so it was sad for a while. I'm happy to see everyone else doing well.
One thing that has happened as a result is that I am going out and being with my friends a bit more than normal. Thus, my summer is picking up a bit. Feels like summer just started 2 weeks ago. I'm finialy enjoying summer and I have to go back in a week . Ah well, I get to see all my buddies who went home for the summer. Oh also, the weather has been great for about 2 or 3 weeks! I got some good rollerblading and walking in. It really is nice to have 2 consecutive days without rain That's all for now, lata!!
